The free 30A beach shuttle (Beach Park and Ride)
Updated October 18, 2026
South Walton's free beach shuttle is Walton County's Beach Park and Ride, run by Walton County Tourism. You park at the Grayton Beach or 393 Beach Park and Ride lot (parking fees apply) and ride a free tram to regional beach accesses. As of October 2026 the off-season schedule runs daily, with express trams every 10 minutes and local loops every 60 minutes.
What is the free 30A beach shuttle?
The free shuttle is Walton County Beach Park and Ride, a tram service operated by Walton County Tourism that links two county parking lots with regional beach accesses along the west half of 30A. The ride is free for everyone; only parking at the lots costs money.
Formerly the Beach Tram, it was expanded on March 1, 2026, and renamed Beach Park and Ride in June 2026, so you may still see "Beach Tram" on older pages. The official schedule lives at beachparkandride.com.
Where do you park for the tram?
There are two lots, and you can start from either one.
- Grayton Beach Park and Ride, 1505 County Hwy 283 S, Santa Rosa Beach: 204 standard spaces, including 4 RV, 7 low-speed vehicle (LSV) and 9 ADA spaces, plus 4 EV charging stations, an air-conditioned lobby and restrooms.
- 393 Beach Park and Ride, 1668 S County Hwy 393, Santa Rosa Beach: 74 spaces, including 4 ADA spaces, restrooms and an indoor waiting area.
Both lots are in the county's paid parking program. As of October 2026, rates are $5 per day from November through February and $5 per hour or $15 per day from March through October; vehicles with a disability placard or plate park free. See the 30A beach parking guide for passes and rules.
